Tack Rag is a piece of cloth, typically made of cheesecloth or similar material, that is used to remove any remaining dust, debris, or other particles from a surface before painting or finishing. The cloth is usually lightly impregnated with a tacky substance, such as a resin or wax, that helps to pick up and trap any loose particles on the surface. Tack rags are commonly used in woodworking, automotive painting, and other applications where a clean, smooth finish is desired
