Lagging: Thermal insulation utilised for minimising heat loss around hot surfaces such as pipelines, boilers, and hot-water tanks. Also used to keep heat and humidity away from cold pipes and surfaces. It may also refer to a timber frame used to secure the sides of an arch when building one.
