Joint ring (rubber ring, sealing ring): Rubber ring that slides on the ends of clay, plastic, and steel pipes to serve as a seal when one pipe is put into another. Rubber rings with O profiles (‘O’ rings), D profiles (‘D’ rings), and rings which fit on the end of the spigot (lip rings) can be used to secure push-fit pipes.
