Jersey barrier (Jersey wall): A 3-foot-tall reinforced concrete divider used to separate lanes on highways. In the case of a collision, it has a unique form that narrows outward towards the bottom and is intended to reduce damage and reroute vehicles into the direction of traffic flow.
