Incorporated Engineer: A certified engineer with the UK’s Engineering Council who has earned the post-nominal letters “IEng.” According to the UK’s Engineering Council, “Incorporated Engineers operate and oversee applications of current and developing technology, and can take on engineering design, development, manufacture, construction, and operation.” They perform work that is comparable to that of a Chartered Engineer, but less conceptual and in-depth.
