Flame cutting: a method of oxygen-cutting metals that have been heated to a high temperature using a gas flame powered by a fuel source like acetylene. The metal is first heated to the necessary temperature by the oxyacetylene flame. An oxygen stream is then released via the cutting touch at this temperature; the oxygen reacts to create the cut.
