Environmental impact assessment (EIA) is a process used to evaluate the potential environmental impacts of a proposed project or activity. It is typically used to assess the impacts of large-scale projects such as dams, highways, and buildings, as well as activities such as mining, logging, and drilling. The goal of an EIA is to identify and measure the potential environmental impacts of a proposed project or activity and make recommendations to reduce or mitigate those impacts
