Back draught in construction context refers to the negative pressure created by an open door or window that causes smoke, fumes, and other airborne particles to be drawn back into a building from the outside. This phenomenon can be especially dangerous in the case of fire, as the smoke and fumes can be drawn back into the building and cause additional damage and health hazards.
