Jointing tool: A piece of equipment for connecting two parts. In brickwork, it also describes a hand-held device used to create a bucket-handle joint. Additionally, it is a collective term for a variety of hand-held instruments such jointing knives, edging trowels, taping knives, and other similar tools that are used for jointing masonry and dry-lining plasterboard.
