Data cabling: Cables used to carry data signals between computers and other electronic devices. Examples include Ethernet cables, coaxial cables, and fiber–optic cables. Data cabling also includes the infrastructure that supports these cables, such as patch panels, switch boxes, and connecting hardware. Data cabling is important for establishing a reliable network connection and allows users to access the Internet, printers, and other external devices.
