Jointing tape: Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) tape wrapped tightly around threaded pipe connectors to seal the junction. Substituted for jointing chemical. Additionally, it describes a multipurpose tape that is used in plasterboard dry-lining to mend, reinforce, and unite boards as well as to protect the corners of the boards.
