Adjudication is a process used in the construction industry to settle disputes between contractors and subcontractors. It involves a third–party adjudicator who is appointed by both parties to listen to both sides of the dispute and make a ruling. The adjudicator‘s ruling is binding on both parties and must be followed. Adjudication is becoming increasingly common in the construction industry as a way to quickly and inexpensively settle disputes.
