Abseil survey is a method of surveying that uses a rope and harness to access difficult–to–reach areas. The surveyor is secured to the rope and can move along the rope to access areas that may be difficult to reach by traditional methods. Abseil surveying is often used when surveying hard–to–reach areas, such as the top of tall buildings or cliffs. It is also used to survey hazardous areas, such as those affected by landslides or rockfalls.
